Donald Vojtech Obituary

The memorial service for Donald R Vojtech, 85, formerly of Omaha will be 11 a.m. Friday, November 1 at First Christian Church, Omaha.
He died Sunday, October 6, 2024 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN.
He was born December 24, 1938 in Fremont to Ernest and Edna (Lane) Vojtech. He grew up in Fremont and managed the Tastee Treat prior to marrying Kathleen C Flesher on November 14, 1958.
He held various jobs at Kraft Foods in Nebraska and became district manager in Sioux Falls, SD. He then became an investment broker with Edward Jones and returned to Nebraska. In 1989, he purchased Kloop Printing Company and ran the business until retirement.
He was a member of First Christian Church serving as an elder and on the board. Don enjoyed NE football games and was a season ticket holder for over 30 years. He loved spending time with his family and pets. Survivors include: his wife, daughters Lorrie (Mitch) Dahl, Lincoln, NE, Kerrie (Doug) Allen, Carver, MN and Stacie (Gary) Umetsu, Huntington Beach, CA; a sister, Virginia Wielandt, Bolton, CT; nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by grandchildren Rebecca and Mark Allen and his beloved dog, Bailey.
The Rev Joshua Sawyer will officiate the service. Visitation will be one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to First Christian Church or Town and Country Animal Rescue, Papillion.

Ginny and all of Don's family: so sorry for your loss. I was young when working at Tastee Treat, but Don always had a 'quip' to say and make it fun. Ernie and Edna were my idols and I visited them many times in Fremont. Tastee's was a fun place to work and hang out; and the friendships made there 'remained for life'! Sincere Sympathy! I was so sorry to hear of your loss! You were both such good neighbors for so many years. After we moved it was a pleasure to visit with you when we were back in Omaha each summer. Good memories!
