Douglas Rimington Obituary
November 23, 1963 - July 23, 2022
Douglas Scott Rimington, beloved husband, father, grandfather. brother, uncle, and friend passed away after an extended illness with pulmonary fibrosis. In his spare time, Doug loved to boat, fish, and travel, but most importantly spend time with his family. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Emile and Barb Rimington; and brother-in-law, Steve Hempel. He is survived by his wife, Robyn; children, Emily, Devin, and Hailey (Jake) Pearson; two grandchildren, Ophelia and Ezra Pearson; and three siblings, Diane Hempel, Dennis (Darcy) Rimington, and Dave (Lisa) Rimington. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials can be directed to the family for the Emily Rimington college fund. We love you and will miss you forever, in our hearts! RIP Doug.

To the whole Douglas Rimington family,
My mom, Delores Nisi, my sister Jeri Martin and her family want to say, We´re so sorry to hear about Doug´s passing. We were shocked and sad about Doug.
Doug and family were our childhood neighbors on 41st Drexel St for years. Doug was a fun neighbor to be with.
Doug´s dog kept running away from his house with his wagging tail. I was outside at that time and Doug asked me where did the dog go a few times and I told him where his dog went and he found his dog and walked back home with the dog. Ha.
My late brother Jack Nisi was friends with David and Doug Rimington when they were kids for years. My sister Jeri and I were friends with Diane Rimington when we were kids for years on 41st St. It was nice memories of us.
Doug went to my late brother Jack´s wake and he walked up to me and said that I did a good job putting up pictures of Jack from baby to young adulthood on boards at the Mortuary wake. I thanked Doug. We´ll never forget Doug. RIP Doug.

I can't remember Doug without a smile on his face, and I can't think of him without a smile on mine. Doug taught me a lot about gratitude, loyalty and kindness, about selfless giving, and the strength of positive thinking. He had a smile and a wisecrack for everyone, and no one was a stranger. Doug had an amazing affect on so many people, and he left this world far better off because of it. You always made me smile, Doug, and I will miss you sorely. Keep my Mary Sue company up there til I see you again, my friend.
