Age 86. Passed away peacefully at Bethany Lutheran Nursing Home on July 27, 2021. He was born on June 30, 1935 to John and Alice (Nepadal) Chunka in Omaha. He served his country as a First Lieutenant in the Army.
He was preceded in death by father, John Chunka; mother, Alice Chunka; and brothers, John, Alan, Gary, and Henry. Duane is survived by wife, Mary Chunka; step-daughters, Michelle, Kathleen, Rebecca, and Charlyn; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
A Private Family Service was held.
