Gretna. Passed away April 3, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Gretna on July 23, 1928, the son of Harry and Louise Mowinkel. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Harold killed in action during WWII. Survived by his sweetheart of 60 years, Jackie Mowinkel and daughters Shirley (John) Wittmuss, and Sheryll Mowinkel. His beloved grandchildren Andrew (Amy) Rongisch, Brian (Nina) Rongisch, Jason (Cheri) Wittmuss, Sheila (Jason) Hajny, and Charles Wittmuss. Special people of his life were his great grandchildren, Lauren, Ava and Anthony Rongisch, Stephanie and Shelby Kinman, Dylan Wittmuss, David (DJ) and Johnny Hajny, plus many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
