I sure do remember you, my dear, sweet Aunt Elaine!
It's been 6 years to this very night that you passed away from this place, and to me it still seems like we were talking & laughing over Christmas like always!
so nice to be able to read all the kind words written on here about you still, and i want to thank everyone again who took the time to share their memories of my kind & beautiful Aunt....who was really my big Sister somehow....but i am still devastated by the loss. with her passing my family has completely fallen apart, and everyone has changed too much for me.....almost as if she was the one holding it all together....because she was!
wish i could've spent more time with you Elaine....when i was younger, and again in the last few years, but things got so messed up it seemed almost impossible.
please forgive me, and remember all the fun times we had since we were both kids on W St. in good old South O....and on 19th & Q......and at the pink house.....and especially at our family reunion on 22nd St., where you invited me back to live with you all again for possibly the best 6 months of my life! will never forget all the great times there....thank you again for all the love you shared.....it meant everything to me.
Rest in Peace Auntie, and i will see you again real soon....far away from all this darkness...
With Love,
Ricky

To My "Auntie Laney",
Just wanted to say how much you are missed already, and how the world is going to be so much more empty without you around to talk & laugh with, to be sure. You were not only my 'Cool Aunt', but were also my Big Sister, Second Mother, and my first True Friend since the day I came home from the hospital to our house on W St. back in 1965. don't know what I would've done without you around....even though you made me eat sand once! I'll never forget how much fun we had when we were kids....and ever since.
I'm happy that you can finally be with George & Mil, your true love Allen, and all the puppies that you raised with love over the years. I promise to be there for Jason as long as i live, and I know one day we will all be together again in a better place, to catch up on things.
With Love,
Your Favorite Nephew, Little Brother, Second Son, and Old Friend...
Ricky

To my dear sister in law: Thank you for being the best thing ever to happen to my brother, Allen. Nothing ever kept you apart in life, and now you are once again together, in the afterlife. You have been a blessing to anyone you ever touched.

Jason, I am so sorry to hear about your mom. It brings back so many memories with both her and your dad. It seems like yesterday when you were so young, your dad lived with myself and Rob and we would go pick you up for frequent stays at our house. Your mom was always so full of laughter and could bring a smile to anyone she crossed paths with. Unforgetable fun with both of them, no one could ever replace in my heart. not to forget Mike, no other man would let your mom & I paint his toe nails, as he slept and let us get away with it!!! We laughed for hours!!! Unforgetable fun and unforgetable people of whom will always be in my heart!!!

Elaine was a wonderful neighbor. We met her when we were looking at buying the house next door. She was a source of information on our house and grew the most beautiful flowers on the street. She visited with us many times as she weeded. We will miss her greatly.
