I think of Gene often - remembering the fun times we had working with the Health Department. Whenever I needed anything he was always there ready to help me. He was a great friend - I miss his smiling face - he always brightened the day.

The World is a better place for Gene having spent time here. He will be long remembered by those who are able to call him friend. I am lucky enough to count myself in this group.
I worked with Gene every day for over 20 years. My day always brightened when he came by - - he always brought a ray of sunshine, a smile, a joke or a great story. We shared a lot of great fun filled times over the years.
We always celebrated Birthday's in the Clinic with a big pot luck dinner. Gene's was always the best - - the girls outdid themselves cooking all his favorite dishes.
He will be sorely missed - - but I am glad Mrs. Jean didn't have to wait too long for him - - I know she was probably as lonely over the last few months as he has been. They are now where they belong - - together.
My thought and prayers are with all the family and friends during this difficult time.

I will miss Eugene. I always enjoyed seeing him when he came in for his doctor's appointments. I'll never forget when him and his wife came in and we talked about the day they met and how they have been inseperable ever since....You are now together and that is wonderful!

I am glad my sister married Ken so I got to have Grandpa Gene and Grandma Jean in my life. They were both always so nice to me at Lorence family gatherings. And I remember them at my wedding. I am sure they partied the night away and are enjoying each others company again in Heaven.

I think I'll miss Gene's smile more than anything. I will never forget the first time I ever saw him. It was when he worked in the Lead Program at 1201. He was coming around the corner of the parking lot and as he passed, he had the biggest smile on his face and his hand shot out of the opened window with a big wave as he passed by. That image will forever be etched in my mind.
He was such a kind and sensitive man and always sat with us for at least 30 minutes every day when he delivered the mail.
I am forever grateful for all of Gene's shared stories, life experiences and memories that he has left behind for so many of us, but most elated that he is once again reunited with the love of his life...Jean.
My prayers and heartfelt sympathy to his family and friends, as we say good-bye to a wonderful man.
