Evelyn Kumm Obituary
Evelyn "Evy" Kumm, 75 of Blair, NE. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Helen Crain III; two aunts, and one uncle.
Survivors include husband, Randall Kumm of Blair; son, Daryl and Ann Kumm of Beaver Lake, NE; son, Bryan and Katie Kumm of Omaha, NE; daughter, Sarah Joo Kumm of Blair, NE; seven grandchildren; brother, Edward B. and Pearl Crain III of Walla Walla, WA; and many friends and other relatives also survive her.
Visitation will be on Saturday, July 5, 2025 from 2 to 3 p.m. at the Minnick Funeral Home in West Point, NE with burial to follow at the St. Matthew's Lutheran Cemetery, rural Wisner, NE. Memorial services will be held on Monday, July 7, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the Victory Church-Omaha at 56th and Sorensen Parkway in Omaha, NE with a luncheon to follow. Visitation will be from 10 a.m., until service time on Monday at the church.

Bryan and Katie,
I am so sorry to read of the death of your mom. I hope and pray that you are able to find great joy both in your memories with her and also the joy that she is with our Father in heaven.

My forever friend of 70 years is Home with the Lord. We met in kindergarten at Northboro School District. I loved Evelyn. She will forever be in my heart. We both loved kitty cats. In the summer, we would bike to each other´s home. One time in particular, we decided to practice running so we could win the race. By the time for the race.. We were pooped out. Imagine that. We lost touch with each other during college but our friendship remained. One time I decided to go to Evelyn´s Bible study with some other Christians. Being raised Catholic, made the sign of the cross, closed my eyes while reciting the Hail Mary. When I opened my eyes everyone stared at me. Evelyn said I think we need to show you "how to pray." There was no better person/friend than Evelyn. Remember Evelyn to ask God all the questions we wanted answered. My heart felt sympathy to Randy, Ed and all the family.
