Gerald W. "Jerry" Keown, Sr.

April 27, 1939 - December 6, 2025

Jerry W. Keown, Sr., preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Ruby Keown; and his son, Jerry W. Keown, Jr.

Survived by his wife of 66 years, JerryAnne; his daughters, Karie (Rob) Kirchner and Kellie (Jeffrey) Vap; his grandsons, Dutch (Audrey) Vap and Thatcher (Ellie) Vap; his brother, Jack (Fran) Keown; and, six great-grandchildren.

Jerry spent his 50 plus professional years in the pest control industry. He was a respected industry leader on the state and national level. He, along with his business partner, Ward Combs II, owned and operated Presto-X-Company, a commercial and industrial pest management company headquartered in Omaha with personnel and clients throughout the central United States.

A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Oak Hills Country Club, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., 12325 Golfing Green Dr, Omaha, NE 68137.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd, Staten Island, NY 10306 or The Nebraska Humane Society, 8929 Fort St, Omaha, NE 68134.

I´m so sorry to hear of this. Jerry was such a leader in this state. I loved working with him for many years. He was truly a nice man. He loved his family, his industry and good government. My sincere sympathy.
