August 17, 1925 - July 25, 2022
MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Saturday, July 30th at 10am at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment with Military Honors: Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Creighton University School of Dentistry-Dr. James and Therese Huerter Scholarship; Duchesne Academy; Holy Cross Catholic Church; and Catholic Charities of the Omaha Archdiocese.

I must admit that I spent an enormous amount of time in Dr Huerter's chair as a child. I must also admit that I never enjoyed one single second of it - I had a ton of cavities!! However I will acknowledge that Dr Huerter was always kind and gentle. He made everything not so bad. Of course picking out a toy at the end of the torture session made it all worthwhile. It's safe to say that I always liked Dr Huerter.
To the Huerter family; my prayers and sincere condolences at the loss of such a wonderful man and father. Your dad will certainly be missed, but never forgotten.......

My condolences to the family. Dr Huerter is the reason I have never minded going to the dentist. He was always so kind and gentle. The first time I had to get a shot to have teeth pulled a school friend had me so sacred. But he calmly walked me through the process. Turned out just like he said and it was no big deal.

I worked with Tim at Ma Bell. When I had a health issue he would suggest one of his sibblings!! Love & prayers to the entire family!! Miss your smiling face Tim!!

The Huerter family has my condolences. Dr. Huerter was my dentist until I turned 18. He was my favorite dentist because he was so kind and patient. My grandmother worked for the family years ago. Her name was Mamie Kirk. She loved the whole family and I loved to hear her talk about all of the children growing up.

Dr Huerter is the reason I love going to the dentist to this day. He was my dentist throughout childhood. He was gentle and caring. I got a little big for my britches when I was 19 and decided I needed an "adult" dentist. While I love my current dentist, over the last 36 years, I haven´t found anyone to fill Dr Huerter´s shoes. God rest his soul.

My condolences to Dr Jim´s family. My siblings and I were all patients of his and remember his kind and patient manner. I was fortunate enough to do a dental assistant internship with him as well. Such a sweet man! My our Heavenly Father wrap him in his arms and welcome him home!

Dr. Huerter was my dentist throughout my childhood. We were referred to him by Dr. Leo Ambrose out of South Omaha.
Dr. Huerter was kind, friendly and I wish I could have kept him as my dentist as an adult, he was so calming.

Dr. Huerter was a gem to my family, especially for my mom. He took care of all 5 of us after my dad died. He was an incredible children's dentist, and raised a huge family. He was genuine. His impact was a footprint that should never be forgotten. Rest easy Dr. Huerter.
