Jim and I ran parenting groups for many years thourgh the AEA. I still miss leading those groups with Jim. He was a joy to work with, and a considerate, thoughtful person. I still hear from parents that attended the groups how he changed their lives. Jim was the magician at birthday parties and delighted in teaching my daughters any new magic trick or balloon animal that he had learned. He touched the lives of so many people and changed the lives of so many, not only this generation but generations to came.

Jim was a wonderful man with a deep sense of compassion to all who crossed his path. He touched many lives through his personal and professional relationships. I was a principal in the C.B. Schools and Jim was a gift to all of us who knew him and worked with him to assist children in need. My prayers are with his family at this difficult time.

I knew Jim from my days as a teacher at Abraham Lincoln and a short stint as a consultant at AEA 13. His great sense of humor was always evident, and I was always glad when our paths crossed. My condolences to the family.

Jim and I went to school together in our elementary years, Edinburg School in Edinburg, Missouri. His mother taught the 1st through 4th grades; Jim and I were in the OTHER room in the 5th through 8th grades. He was one of the nicest boys in school. It saddens me to hear of his passing.
