Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents: Adolph & Emma Hakel; husband John Sr; daughters, Marcy Ramold & Stephanie; siblings, Irene, Buster, Claire, Tom. Children survive her: Daughter, Kelley Doyle (Omaha); Sons, John Jr. (Lisa) (Omaha), Brian (Washougal, WA), Son-in-law, Ed Ramold (Nebraska City). Sisters: Sister Mary Angeline Hakel OSM (Omaha), Mary Ann Holman (San Rafael, CA), Brother, Ralph Hakel (Lincoln, NE), Sisters-in-law, Carole Rodero (Joe), (Frederick, MD), Barbara Donovan (Omaha), Brother-in-law, Lou Merwald (Omaha). Grandchildren: Molly Doyle (Ryan Matthews) & Kathleen Doyle (Andrew Adams) (all Omaha), Jim Doyle (Haley Norman) (Portland, OR), Dani Donovan, (Josh Price) (Suwanee, GA), Trevor Donovan, (Omaha), Matthew Ramold (Jayzel Reyes) (Oakland, CA), Mark Ramold (US Navy). Great grandchild Collin Price. Many loved nieces and nephews as well as other family and friends.
Celebration of Life mass Thursday June 29, 2023. St. Robert Bellarmine Visitation 9 am with mass at 10:30, reception to follow then internment at Calvary Cemetery. Stream at www.stroberts.com home page.

Besides loosing an aunt I feel like I lost a BFF! So many great memories of get togethers and trips! Many times we laughed so hard we cried! Still find myself wanting to text her about something on my mind!
