September 26, 1930 - September 20, 2022

John Howard Grandfield, age 91 of Omaha, NE, passed away September 20, 2022. He was born on September 26, 1930 in Murray, Iowa to John and Elsie (Faber) Grandfield. John attended Creston Community College and played basketball for the Golden Bears. He has a Master's Degree in Accounting from Omaha University. John worked in the financial department at Northern Natural Gas.

He served in the US Air Force and was a member of American Legion Post #1.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Marjorie Ann; sisters, Mary Thompson, Margaret Sayles and Nancy Grandfield.

John is survived by his wife, Patricia Walter; sisters, Shirley Hall and Linda Au Buchon (Tom); brother, Larry Grandfield (Mary Jo); brother-in-law, Fr. Tom Fransiscus; nieces; nephews; family and friends.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Friday, September 30, 2022, 11am, with family receiving friends 1hour prior at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 4712 S. 82nd St. Inurnment: Omaha National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
