Joe knew my uncle in Wahoo and always had kind things to say about him (my uncle was a judge!)
Enjoyed hearing about all his witty sayings from my daughter-in-law Cindy Kaplan Hrupek, Joe's grand-daughter.
His wife, Barb Bideaux Kaplan, is a friend and co worker from many years ago and was a perfect companion for Joe. Our prayers are with her.

My heart goes out to Laurie and her family. I went to school with Laurie and spent many a night at her house. I remember the Kaplans freezing water on the back patio so we could ice-skate. And many trips to Lake Waconda. I wish you the best in this sad time.
