Dear Mrs. Martin & family,
Greetings from Norton, Ks. I don't know you folks but know Richard & Roberta Martin.
I was saddened to learn of the loss of your husband/Dad/brother...
We humans can't fix the deep hurt in your heart but I encourage you to seek the One Who can comfort like no other, that's Jesus Christ Himself. My husband lost his first wife to a battle with cancer & I'm convinced it was his walking in God's grace & strength that kept his head above water as they fought that battle & then in coping with her death.
I think God hurts knowing we hurt. If you don't know Christ as your own personal Lord & Saviour, I want to encourage you & any who see this message sent with His love to accept & follow Him. There are no regrets in Him...His anchor holds through the calmest & roughest seas in life.
James 4:8 says, "Draw close to God & He will draw close to you".
Because His grace matters big time, you matter! 24 / 7...ordinary days & nights, special occasions, holidays, even if some others might not know you might be hurting, God sees you & offers help to you, yours for the accepting & following.
Hopefully many good memories follow the reflections of Mr. Martin in your mind.
Regarding his being a veteran, vets are some of my finiest heros.
Thanks to their willingness in helping promote freedom, I can send this e-mail without a military escort censoring it from here to Neb. (<:)
Easter blessings to all is offered. Jesus Christ IS risen & IS coming again!
Again, His love & hug to all of you.
Because of His love & in the grip of His matchless grace,
Fabian Baker

Julie and Jen, You will remain in our thoughts and prayers. We will miss Les and his quick wit. We are eating more ice cream and trying new coffee places. He reminds us daily to enjoy the good times and fight the bad with dignity.

Julia, I wish I could have attended the memorial, but I was under the weather. When I saw this opportunity to wish you and your daughter my best wishes. It won't be easy as you try to build your new life, but as both of us know strenght and help always seems to appear when we least expect it. I will keep all of you in my prayers.
Lots of luck and the best at this time.

Julie,
Our hearts were broken when we saw Les had lost his battle.
You and Les were two faces we looked for as we went through Curts Chemo last fall. You both felt like old friends immediately as we began our journey, I think in large part because we were instantly bonded by our similar fight.
We were praying that both Les and Curt could find healing. I guess our prayers for Les were answered, just not in the way we had hoped.. Les is healed and whole now.. no longer trapped in a body being ravaged by cancer.
You are an inspiration to me and Les was such a good example for Curtis.
Our prayer is that God will bring you, your daughter, and your family comfort and strength to get through.

“Les, Is my server ready yet?” :) There is no way to replace the sense of caring and commitment you displayed every day at work. Your courage and determination were remarkable. You were an inspiration and a good friend to many, including myself. You will be missed.
