Leslie Militti Obituary

Leslie Ann Militti

April 8, 1946 - February 7, 2026

Leslie Ann Militti of Omaha, NE, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2026.

Leslie was born to John "Jack" Louis Landen Sr. and Patricia Ann Landen on April 8, 1946, in Omaha, NE. Throughout Leslie's life, her Catholic faith was one of her deepest foundations. It guided her choices, shaped her values, and gave her a sense of purpose that never wavered. Nothing meant more to her than her family and her faith; they were the two pillars she returned to in every season of life. She was innocent and pure in a way that felt almost rare-always seeing the best in people, always believing in their goodness. She lived by her family's quiet motto, "lending a hand to help them get up," and she embodied it through her belief in individual philanthropy and practical generosity. She never said no when someone needed help; her instinct was always to give, to support, to show up. Charitable and gracious, she offered kindness without hesitation and without expectation. And she had a special tenderness for the most vulnerable-she loved animals and children with a wholehearted, uncomplicated affection. Caring for them brought out the gentlest parts of her, the parts that made her who she was.

She is preceded in death by parents, John "Jack" Louis Landen Sr. and Patricia Ann Landen; brother, John L. Landen Jr.; uncle and aunt, C.L. "Micky" and Mary Landen; uncle, Michael "Mick" Guilfoyle; aunt, Jean Guilfoyle; and great aunt, Marie Holland.

She is survived by her children, Michele (Tim) Mullins, EJ Militti Jr., and Carroll (Scott) Hacker; grandchildren, Marie Mullins, Timmy Mullins, and Catherine Mullins, Sadie Militti, Louis Hacker, Celia Hacker, Lillian Hacker, and Carmelita Hacker; sister, Mary Brendis; sister-in-law, Mary Jo Landen; nieces, nephews, and many cousins.

A visitation will be held Monday, February 16, 2026, at St. Robert Bellarmine Church from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. The funeral mass will be held at St. Robert's on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. with a burial to follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Memorials may be made out to Mater Filius, NE, a foundation committed to helping women of all backgrounds facing an unexpected and unsupported pregnancy.
