Lois Ann Jonswold

February 28, 1934 - November 27, 2024

Lois Ann (Thompson) Jonswold, 90, passed away on November 27,2024 at home surrounded by family.

Anyone who knew Lois, loved her charm, wit, sense of style and knowledge of absolutely everything. She was an avid reader, caring individual and gardener at heart.

Lois grew up in Chicago, Illinois and graduated with a Bachelor's degree from Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Illinois. This is where she met her husband, Ellis Jonswold. After graduating Elmhurst, they moved to Cedarburg, Wisconsin and started their family. In 1971, the family moved to Omaha. Lois cherished her friendships from both Cedarburg and the Montclair neighborhood in Omaha. She was a valued long time employee of MIT, where she developed many life long friendships.

She was preceded in death by her husband , Ellis and brother, Ralph Thompson. She is survived by her children, Lisa Matthiessen, David Jonswold, Paul (Tonya) Jonswold and Janet Taylor. She has 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

A Private Ceremony will be held at a later date when the flowers are in full bloom.

Memorials may be directed to the family.

Lois was more than an employee to Allan and I, she was a special friend. She was kind, friendly and everyone loved her. She had a gentle soul. She will always remembered as a beautiful lady.
