Madeline Lena Lind, died on 2, February, 2023 at the age of 89. She is now with her Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus.

Madeline was born in April 1933 in American Falls, ID to Floyd and Madeline Reed. She grew up in American Falls, the youngest of eight children. Madeline loved school and enjoyed having her father work as a janitor at her school. Band was important to her, and she played the oboe. Madeline never missed a day of school in High School and graduated Valedictorian.

Madeline briefly attended the University of Utah and Idaho State College. She worked for Farmers Insurance Group in Pocatello, ID. In June 1955, she married John Lind who was in the Air Force. They lived in California and then New Hampshire, where Marcus was born. John's next assignment took the family to Morocco, Africa, where Dale and Nancy were born. In 1960, they were assigned to Offutt AFB, NE, where they would stay for several decades. They served a four-year tour to Ramey AFB, Puerto Rico in the early 70s. Madeline was active with a variety of roles in her Churches and sang in choirs throughout all their travels. After rearing her children, she earned a certificate as an Ophthalmic Lab Technician and worked for an eye care store. Until retirement she worked at Lutheran Medical Center as a buyer and in accounts payable. She volunteered at the Henry Doorly Zoo animal kitchen for many years. She was an avid bowler and crafted beautiful cross-stitch creations. Madeline was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Papillion, NE, where she worshiped faithfully and had good friends.

Madeline lived in Bellevue, NE until 2017, when she moved to Vancouver, WA to be closer to family.

Madeline was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and siblings: Doris Johnson, Janet Vanderford, Betty Kress, Ted Reed, Lenore Lind, Richard Reed, and Jim Reed.

She is survived by her children: Marcus Lind (Deborah), Dale Lind (Mindy), and Nancy Lind; grandchildren: Christina Lind, Ashley Lind, Amber Lind, Nathan Lind (Allison), Abian Sacks (Emma), and Michael Sacks; and great-granddaughter, Zeva Sacks.
