Age 77. Director of Financial Aid at UNMC, until leaving to finish her Master's in Social Work. Family and friends were very important. She rarely if ever missed one of her children's or grandchildren's events. She loved volunteering, giving to others, cooking and baking. She was well known for her banana bread.
Preceded in death by parents, Stephen and Louella Roberts.
Survived by her husband of 41 years, Marty; children: Tony and Lisa McLaughlin, Debbie and Tim Dydyk, Patty and Scott Wenninghoff, Pam and Jeff Burch, Tom and Sherry McLaughlin, Mike and Susie McLaughlin, and Bob and Heather McLaughlin; 14 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.

We are so saddened to hear of this. Many thoughts and prayers to the family. Marilyn was a kind and caring soul of both people and animals. She was strength to me when I needed it when my Mom passed. Her diligence and care helped me though a very difficult time. She was a light in a dark place and I will forever be grateful. I can only think my Mom is there with her now. I pray for you all now. Marty and family I´m so sorry for your loss. Marilyn was my dear dialysis friend and she made dialysis a little easier by her presence. I´ll miss talking to her and her generous heart. Uplifting the entire family up in prayer.

So sorry for your loss, Marilyn and I were close friends when I lived in Bellevue 50 yrs ago. Our children were the same age and we had alot in common. Playing bridge, planning Birthday Parties for our Kids. I will miss the yearly Christmas Card. My prayers are with the family. Love, Norma

Marty and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I have fun memories of Marilyn from our days in the Bellevue All Staff Bowling League. She also was one of the first people to greet me at the BWHS Retirees monthly luncheons. I will miss our conversations.
