Born and raised in Omaha, Nancee attended Dundee and Loveland Elementary and Brownell Hall (Brownell Talbot) for High School before entering the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. She was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and graduated in 1954 with a Degree in Elementary Education. She taught Kindergarten for several years at Sunset Hills. Nancee married the love of her life, David Neely, on December 4, 1954. She was an amazing wife and mother.

Nancee was an active volunteer in the Omaha community. She served as President of the Junior League of Omaha and on numerous Boards, including Joslyn Art Museum Women's Association, Clarkson Hospital, Brownell Talbot, and Duchesne Academy. Nancee was Chairman of the Ak-Sar-Ben Women's Ball Committee and Omaha Symphony Guild. She was an active Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae Group member, named Sigma Chapter Alumnae of the Year in 1984.

Nancee and David loved Nebraska football and tailgating with family and friends. She was a master at needlepoint and loved researching and collecting antiques. Nancee enjoyed spending time with family and friends, her pets, orchids, gardening, tennis, bridge, and traveling. Most of all, she adored her husband David, her children Dave and Beth, and six grandchildren.

We will miss her dearly; she will live forever in our hearts.

David and Beth,

Because we live out of town, I just this moment-in Omaha for a visit-learned of your Mom´s passing. You were both still in school (high school, junior high) when I met your Mom. I cleaned house for your Mom during the year I attended Grace Bible Institute. The fact that I was ever paid during that wonderful time remains an incongruous memory to me: your Mom modeled that lovely...something. Possessions? Beauty? Talent? Education? Opportunities? Friends? Fun? Humor? Ambition? "Oh, how lovely! I see a bit of this or that or another I might happen to have around. Let´s see what I can do with it for my family...oh, I bet so-and-so would like...you know, OMAHA might...and that little gal who rakes that shag carpet every week..". Your Mom prepared me for a life ahead I had no idea I was waiting for me. I should have been paying her.

I have very fond memories of spending time at your house when we were kids and how warm and welcoming your mother was to me. Every time I drive by that house, I think about those memories. You have my deepest and sincerest sympathies.

Dear David and Beth, I don't know if you remember me, but I was a frequent visitor to your house during late 1970 to spring 1971 with my then girlfriend Pat King who lived with you while attending school. I was treated so nicely by your parents during that time and I'm so sorry for your loss.
