My memories go back to Nancy's sophomore year in the Chi Omega house at the University of Nebraska--she will always be one of my fondest memories, and all who had the privilege of having Nancy in their life know what a wonderful and positive influence she had on everyone. I'm so thankful we had a chance to visit when she and Roger were in Phoenix last winter.
My thoughts and prayers are with Roger and the entire family.

As a friend of Nancy's sister, Donna, I came to know what a wonderful person she was. She will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family.

Nancy was megawatt in every way, and we feel the loss of her inspiring energy. She always made us feel welcomed, cared for, listened too, and loved. Our heart hurts, and we hope our most gentle thoughts are reaching you Roger, Bill and the family. David, Jose', Jack and Stephen

Nancy was my best friend in grade school in Creighton. I have wonderful memories of tubing in the Bazile Creek with Nancy and her brother Jeff while her Mom, Donna sat in the shade and read books. I also laugh at the memories of sleeping over at her house, when we would sneak off the side porch and go across the street to aggravate Mabel Jasmer's parrot. We were both twirlers in the marching band, and were always ready for the next adventure. I was devastated when the family moved to Albion. Nancy was a bright star, and we were very proud of her accomplishments. My deepest sympathy to Roger and her boys. We were all so lucky to have her in our lives.

Nancy was my first love. We were sweethearts my senior year at Albion High School (1957). We went our separate ways after that. My last contact with her was when I telephoned her in New York to congratulate her on her first day on "The Today Show." My heart goes out to her husband and children.

Nancy, it is so difficult to accept you are no longer a phone call or just a letter away. All we have are memories, but there are many over the span of 49 years, and they will be treasured and revisited. To the family your grief and loss are shared by all who had the chance to know and love her. A Chi Omega sister and friend.

Roger and family, It is hard to imagine the death of one of our most notable classmates (Albion High School, class 59). I so was looking forward to next year and our 50th reunion. May her memories live on in your lives.

While we, too didn't know Nancy, through her son Bill we can imagine what kind of warm, caring person she was. Know that our family will be thinking of yours during this difficult time.

Though I've only known Nancy's son, Bill, for a short time, it's clear to me what a powerful & loving influence she no doubt had over him and all around her. My sincerest thoughts go out to the family for your loss.

There are few people that I enjoy watching to simply witness the way they interact with one another. Roger and Nancy are one of those couples. The love and respect that Roger and Nancy shared was always a joy to be around. Every time we met, Roger had an adoring word of one sort of another that placed Nancy his on his pedestal of love and I could clearly see that she was a great joy in his life. My children always enjoyed going with me to their house because they might see "Mrs. Fransecky". I think that's a great testament to what a joy it was to be around her and to know her.
Our sincere condolences on your loss. We will keep you all in our prayers.

I still can't believe Nancy is gone, as she was one of the most energetic and alive people I have ever known. I adored her from the moment I met her almost 40 years ago in Cincinnati. She was warm, witty, beautiful and whip-smart, a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew her. Although we moved and rarely saw one another, just the thought of her made me smile and warmed my heart.
Her spirit will stay with me always.
My prayers go out to her entire wonderful and loving family and wide circle of friends.
With deepest sympathy and love,

I remember Nancy from Creighton Grade School days. The band (we both played the flute) and just being kids. I recall the last time we had lunch at the New York Hilton. God bless your family. Our deepest sympathy. Terry and Barb Miller

Oh, Nancy. I'm reeling. Why did this have to happen? We were just two gals from Albion, getting reacquainted after much too long a time. Ready to slay political dragons and beat the drum for all women and all those fine and wonderful things that still needed doing! You were fun and serious and right on target. I am so glad we finally reconnected! My sad heart breaks for you, Roger; and for the boys and for all her family. And of course for Nancy's wide-ranging collection of friends who loved her so much.

We are so grateful to have known this extraordinary woman. She didn't just live . . . she was a life force. Everyone touched by her felt deeply heard, was made better by her laser sharp mind and wit, and was left feeling wiser and lighter, and always with a smile. Nancy made us all better and more effective people and I think she would want us to celebrate her life and also to take very good care of Roger. Nancy, we're on it!
