Nancy Neher Obituary

Neher, Nancy J.

June 1, 1957 - October 28, 2022

Nancy Neher, of Omaha, NE, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend, was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Elaine Neher, and special friend, Dan Kraft.

Nancy is survived by her brother, Ken (Jane) Neher of Gretna, NE; sons, Chase (Lindsey) and Trevor (Emily) Neher; and grandchildren: Kaiden, Max, Alaina, Stella, Macklan and Jade Neher, all of Omaha; her aunt, Judy Samson of Valley, NE; and many cousins and friends.

Nancy was born in Omaha and attended Burke High School, graduating in 1975. She attended UNO for a time. She learned how to frame prints and artwork and opened her own frame shop, The Picture Show. She did framing for over 20 years and had many loyal customers.

She had many hobbies, including doing her own art work, sewing, making bookmarks and many crafts, and enjoying her grandchildren. Her family enjoyed many summer vacations to the Ozarks, where family members had a cabin. She also enjoyed many weekends at another family cabin near Fremont. As a child, her family would also visit grandpa Kenneth Hitt's cabin.

She loved animals of all types, especially rabbits, and had statues of them in the house and yard, and rabbit art work around her house.

Nancy had a wonderful bubbly laugh, especially when the grandkids were around.
