Patrick Bowman Obituary
November 10, 1944 - October 14, 2023
Preceded in death by parents, Patrick and Regina; sister, Mikie Loughridge.
Pat was born on November 10, 1944, to Patrick and Regina Bowman, in Los Angeles, CA. After graduating from high school, in Topeka, KS, Pat attended Creighton University, graduating from its Medical School in 1970. In the same year, he married Mimi Longo. Patrick entered the U.S. Navy in 1967 and served a year in Vietnam. Following his military service, Pat and his young family lived in Rochester, MN, for four years while completing his residency at the Mayo Clinic before returning home to Omaha. Pat built a career as a prominent Omaha orthopedic surgeon and, with Mimi, lovingly raised their four children. Pat will be remembered as a passionate Creighton fan who loved spending time with his family, especially his eight grandchildren.
Survived by wife, Mimi; children, Patrick (Karin), Brian (Elizabeth), Beth Hantman (Aaron), Tim (Kendra); grandchildren, Ella, Christian, Mark, Harrison, Hazel, Charlotte, Henry and Bennett; brother, John (Barbara); sister, Peggy Lease (Guy).
Family will receive friends Thursday, October 19th, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., at Christ The King Catholic Church with a WAKE SERVICE at 6:30 p.m.
MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Friday, October 20th, 10 a.m., at Christ The King Catholic Church. INTERMENT: Resurrection.
Memorials are suggested to Creighton University, Creighton Prep or The Institute for Priestly Formation.

Sorry to hear of Dr. Bowman´s passing. He was my ortho surgeon in 1999 & one of the most compassionate, caring doctors I´ve had. He had such a way with his patients. He always had a smile. My prayers & thoughts with his family.

My sorrow at learning of Pat´s passing is at least equaled by my gratitude for having been given the opportunity to know this remarkable, endearingly memorable man. He was loved by many and will be missed by many. His smile will be forever in my mind´s eye.
