Patrick McCormick Obituary
Patrick McCormick was born November 17, 1969 in Omaha. He grew up in Omaha and spent several summers on his Grandfather's Farm in Doniphan, NE. He attended several Millard Schools and Graduated from Burke High School. He joined the Navy in 1989 where he was a Sonar Technician on the USS Goldsborough during Desert Sheild/Desert Storm. Upon his Honorable Discharge from the Navy, he attended UNO, graduating Summa cum laude with a degree in Religion, Philosophy, and Art History. He was an Adjunct Professor of Art History at Metro Tech Community College, Elkhorn, NE. Patrick loved the Universe and shared his knowledge and enthusiasm as an Observational Astronomy Public Lecturer at Kountze Planetarium, University of Nebraska at Omaha. He earned his Juris Doctor from Nebraska College of Law in 2002. He went on to have his own Private Practice in Omaha and generously mentored young attorneys throughout his career. He helped all kinds of people by solving all types of problems. He is loved and missed by all.
A GATHERING of family and friends will be held Thursday, August 1, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Roeder Mortuary.

I office shared with Patrick years ago. He was funny, energetic and wise. He offered help to those in need and shared his enthusiasm for the universe with me and my daughter. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family and friends as I too mourn the loss.

Patrick was one of the most important people of my entire life. I idolized him growing up. He made me feel like I could accomplish absolutely anything! I wouldn´t be the man I am today without him. He saved my adult life. Pat was an exceptional attorney and a fascinating human being. Too rare to have his memory fade.
