My condolences go out to the entire Schrager family. Phil was a great guy. He made quite an impression on me when I was a youngster in our neighborhood. He was not only successful, enjoyed life's finest, but he was intense, self-disciplined & giving to others. I was especially fond of his contemporary art - which influenced my taste, to this day. He was an all-around great person. He will be greatly missed!

My sincere condolences to the entire Schrager family and friends. It has taken me quite aback to see someone so vibrant leave. I admired Phil for his energy and love for his family. I did not know you all, but we were just pups when we met back in the 60's. Even though I have not seen Phil (or Terry) in many, many years, he will be missed. He gave his all to the arts, his family!

To the Entire Schrager family: Phil was a respected leader in our community and will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

Teri, You and Phil meant so much to our teachers at Westside. You have both been an inspiration to be the best we can be for our students. The students who were touched in my classroom by your support of a technology program were greatly transpired. I always looked forward to seeing both of you and we will certainly miss Phil's presence this fall, but his spirit will remain eternally through all he has touched.

Phil Schrager was the kind of cheerleader that teachers across the country need more of. He was extremely supportive of the teaching profession, in both word and deed, as demonstrated for more than a decade, through the generous funding of the Phil and Terri Schrager Foundation Award of Excellence in Teaching. Phil was a true champion of great teaching, and we will miss his vocal advocacy on behalf of Westside teachers.
