Mr. Ramon Jacobo was a very fair, honest and hardworking man. Along with his wife and family they started and grew a business that would have seemed impossible for most of us born here for several generations. They put in very long hard hours and sometimes things didn't always go right, but Mr. Jacobo and his family always got the job done. He loved to tell stories of his past, and of business experiences, most were very funny! He will be missed by all who knew him. Thank you God that he was given the years he was on this Earth.

To the Jacobos Family, so deeply sorry for your dad's passing. We remember when you first moved here to Omaha. The little store that was the first Jacobos store by Upland park. And how when our parents were short of money your dad used to let our dad charge and how our dad was so grateful that our dad made sure to payback your dad for his generosity and taught us a lesson . To always payback what we borrowed and never take advantage of one's generosity. Also the very beautiful flower arrangement that your dad and mom sent us when our dad Roberto Pantoja passed away, the colors of the Mexican flag.I could see it now how your dad and our dad is in heaven just talking away . Like they used to do here. We will keep your family especially your mom in our prayers. It has to be tremendously hard on her. Losing the love of her life.
Sincerely ,

while remodeling Jacobo grocery years ago. Ramon told how he would drive to Chicago to buy Tortilla Shells for customers and restaurants. I asked why he had to go so far, Ramon said "they were the best" He tried very hard to have good products

I remember Mr. Jacobo when he opened up on 30th Street. My mom would send me everyday to the store he would always say, "Hello Teresa what do we need today?" I will miss his kindness and his welcoming smile.
