Ronald Jesse Moore, 82, of Omaha NE passed into God's hands on September 20, 2021. Ron was born on October 14, 1938 in Jamaica, IA to parents, Jesse and Beulah Moore.
Ron earned his Bachelor's degree at Drake University in Des Moines, IA, where he met the love of his life, Lois, as she attended Iowa Methodist School of Nursing. They were married September 12, 1959 and enjoyed traveling the great outdoors and visiting family. Their marriage was the epitome of love and caring that we can only hope to achieve. Ron was a distinguished pilot in the US Air Force, having over 5,000 hours of flying time in aircraft including the EC-135 airborne command post called the "Looking Glass".
Ron was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather who adored his family. Ron is survived by his wife, Lois; his two sons, Jeff (Becky) and Brad (Sharon); six grandchildren, Matt (Lindsey), Erik, Allison (Kyle), Chris, Melissa, and James (Alex), and most recently great grandson, Booker. He is also survived by brothers, Roger (predeceased Janice) and Larry (Juli). He was preceded in death by his parents.
The family welcomes those able to attend A Celebration of Life to be held at Rejoice Lutheran Church, 2556 S. 138th St., Omaha NE on October 29, 2021 at 10:30am. Internment with full Military Honors to follow at Omaha National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers gifts may be given to Rejoice Lutheran Church building fund in memory of Ronald Moore.
