Age 85
Sandra Deon Bertelsen, of Omaha, formerly Tabor and Thurman, IA, died April 10, 2023. Former Postmaster at Tabor and Sidney, IA, owned The Plum Creek Inn and Cottage Bed and Breakfast in Thurman.
Survived by children: Kimberlee Johnson and Greg Pella of Brownville, NE; Mark Bertelsen and Melissa of Papillion; Jamie and Connie of Springfield, NE; 11 grandchildren.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Saturday, April 15, 2023, 10am, at the Tabor, IA Cemetery. CELEBRATION OF LIFE: Saturday, from 1-3pm, at the Brownville Concert Hall in Brownville, NE. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Brownville Concert Hall.

Sandra was a kind soul. Any room she walked into was automatically filled with love and light. She and Freeman treated me as if I was their own granddaughter and would let me and Lauren help with the Plum Creek Inn. You always felt at home with them and they were always happy and made every day life more fun. Her smile was infectious and her love for her family was something to be admired. Heaven has gained a wonderful angel and I´m sure Freeman welcomed you with open arms. Love you grandma Bertelsen! My deepest sympathies to the entire Bertelsen family.
