Sandra Howerter Obituary
May 2, 1936 - September 16, 2022
Sandra Kadlecek Howerter, age 86, of Tubac, AZ formerly of Lincoln, NE passed away on Friday, September 16, 2022 in her Tubac home with her dog, Sparky by her side. Born on May 2, 1936 in Omaha to Marie (Becker) and Joe Kadlecek.
Sandy was a graduate of Benson High School in Omaha and a graduate of the University of Nebraska where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta and was elected Nebraska's Cherry Blossom Princess.
Sandy married Stuart Howerter on June 14, 1958 and they were blessed with three children, Stuart II (Julie), Scott (Liz), and Susan Welsh (Andy); 11 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
Sandy was active in many philanthropic organizations including the Junior League of Lincoln and bringing the Trans National Women's Amateur Golf tournament to Lincoln. Stu and Sandy were very active in the Tubac Arts Center, Sunday Swingers and enjoyed the camaraderie of weekly bridge.
MEMORIAL SERVICES will be held at 11am Saturday, October 22, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2110 Sheridan Blvd., Lincoln, with a Reception following at the Lincoln Country Club.
