OMAHA, Neb. and PLATTSMOUTH, Neb. – September "Ember" Nelsen, age 59, passed away on October 1, 2025. Ember was born on September 24, 1966, in Omaha, and was raised in Plattsmouth, Neb. She is survived by her loving partner, Ron O'Neill; and family, Jake, Luke, Melissa and Tim Neumann, and Ryan O'Neill, who will carry her memory forward in their lives. She was preceded in death by her father, Larry Nelsen; mother, Pat Nelsen; and sister, Martha Neumann.
A memorial service to celebrate Ember's life will be held on October 26, from 12 to 3 p.m., at the Post Event Center, 7400 Q St., Ralston, NE 68127. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her memory.
Ember's presence will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew her. May her spirit rest in peace, and may her memory be a light in our hearts always.
