Sharon Hall Thebaud, 86, of Cummaquid, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts on October 15, 2022. She was the beloved wife of Charles G. Thebaud and daughter of the late Charlotte Wilson (Smith) and Robert H. Hall.

Sharon was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska and graduated from the Brownell Talbot School. She attended Vassar College and graduated from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln where she served as president of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, business manager of the Cornhusker yearbook, and treasurer of the Mortar Board. She worked as a bank officer at Wells Fargo in San Francisco, where she met her husband Charles and where they lived when first married. Then Sharon traveled with Charles as the spouse of a military officer, including to Seoul, Korea, Omaha, Nebraska, and Washington, D.C. She was a longtime summer resident of Nantucket and resided with her husband in Cummaquid for the last 20 years. She was committed to volunteering throughout her life, often serving her community as a member of local garden clubs and hospital auxiliaries including serving as president of the Nantucket Garden Club for many years. She enjoyed gardening and entertaining but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Her grandchildren will remember her sweet tooth and how she always "hid" Lindt chocolate truffles in the buffet for them to find when they were visiting. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

In addition to her husband of more than 50 years, Sharon is survived by her two children, Charlotte Hemr and husband Kurt of Boston, Massachusetts, Paul Thebaud and wife Darlene of Norwood, Massachusetts; her brother Robert R. Hall and wife Linda of Elkhorn, Nebraska; four grandchildren, Louisa and Joseph Hemr and Jacqueline and Victoria Thebaud; five nieces, and many extended family members and dear friends.

A private committal service will be held at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne, Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cape Cod Healthcare Foundation, P.O.
