I know that you do not know me but I am good friends with a couple that loved you dearly. They often would tell me things about you and sent me a picture that I taped to my work computer to keep you in my thoughts throughout the day. You will definitely be missed but know that you will never stop being thought about and loved. Your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

An angel baby was given

to be cared for on earth

for a while.

An angel boy was given back

to be cared for in heaven

for eternity.

Mother, father, grandparents all

will see their angel boy again

in heaven.

I'm one of Gus Berry's co-workers. I wrote this poem to extend my condolence to the famly. I pray the God of Comfort to comfort you all in this time of sorrow. May you tangibly feel His arms around you as He carries you thru this valley.

As I was looking through the Omaha Obituaries, I couldn't help but notice this particular Entry, "Skylar M. Berry, age 5." I am a mother of a 2 year old, and I can't imagine how you are feeling right now. Please know that my heart goes out to you in so many ways. Skylar is now an angel, he\she is playing in heaven with his favorite toys, singing favorite songs, jumping, running and skipping...he is happy...happier than we could ever imagine being here on Earth. My prayers are with you in your time of pain...your sister in Christ, Jessie. (You don't know me, but sometimes in life...we all need to be there for a stranger.)

To Kelly, Adam, Sue, Bernie...and all of Sky's family. Thank you for taking such good care of this precious little boy. He was loved every moment of his short life. Deeply and truly loved. Many people have long lives and are never loved. Not so with Skylar! God gave him to the perfect family, He knew you would do everything you could to make him happy...and you did! We grieve now...but we grieve with HOPE...because one day we will be reunited with sweet Skylar in heaven. Please know that God has been there with you every step of the way, and He is with you now...catching your tears and holding you in your sorrow. Thank you Lord for the last wonderful 5 years that we were blessed with Skylar here on earth! We look forward to being with him again one day!
