I had Coach Anderson as a P.E teacher at Franklin Elementary School, in Sterling Colorado...1964-1965. I am so very sorry it's taken me so long to write this...I only learned of Coach's passing recently. Coach Anderson was a big, strong good looking stud and was my hero and inspiration. He was also my football coach and I played quarterback for him. His impact on me was huge. Coach Anderson's early instruction was instrumental in my high school and college football career...where I achieved all- conference and all state honors at Sterling High School in football, and left the University of Northern Colorado as it's all time leading pass receiver....but way beyond even that was his upbeat personality and big smile...he was my hero. Thank you Coach Anderson for all you did for me. Love, Mike Mitchell

Julie and Hans, we don't know if you remember us but we lived right behind Bryan Elementary. Hans, you would often stop and play with our little daughter, son , or our dog, on your way home from school. You were so good to them! Craig was the Athletic Trainer at Millard (South). We knew your folks from all of that but I (Julie) really knew your Mom and Dad from Circle R. I went there 2 summers and I have to say the weeks I spent with your Mom and Dad really changed my life, and especially my relationship with Christ. Your Dad took us out in the woods of Circle R 1 night and pruned a tree and gave us a lesson about The Vine and the branches. It really spoke to me. In fact, John 15:5 was the text for our wedding. Your Mom and Dad were also such beautiful examples of love for God and for each other. I know your Dad is celebrating his reunion with your Mom in their permanent home-Heaven. How great that must be! Love and prayers to your families.

Our sincerest sympathies to Stan´s family and friends. Ron has many fond memories of their work days at the Downtown YMCA and hours of fun sailing on Wednesdays at Lake Cunningham. We remember Stan as a fair and honest man that enriched both our lives.

I am so sorry to see you go Coach Anderson. You were just a big kid yourself when you came to Millard and laid the foundation for a successful wrestling program. You have been an inspiration to me my whole life.

So sad to hear of the passing of Stan. He was such a great guy. Prayers for Stan's family. Hans, you sat beside me in choir when you visited your folks. They both were special people.

We only knew the retired snow birds, Stan and Sharon Anderson. However, we loved them with a life long love! We are Stan's winter family, always anxious to get back together each fall! He was a quiet genius, growing a garden in AZ during winter, singing with Mesa Spirit Singers, and bicycling all over the Phoenix Valley. He leaves a huge hole in our hearts!

My condolence to the Anderson family for your loss of a truly Good Man. I had the honor of being trained by a wondeful wrestling coach for which I was able to priviledge with the first of several District Championships at Millard. He taught me more then wrestling, but how to be a survivor in lifes tough situations. His early influence in my has stayed with me for 55 years with much appreciation. I will miss your father and grandfather as much as anyone. God blessed him with a gift and he didn't waste it anywhere he was. Not many people can leave such a lasting impression on everyone he met. I'll see him again someday, but until then, there's always more to do. Thank you!
