Stephen Torpy Obituary
Steve shared nearly 50 wonderful years with his wife, Susan Torpy. Their marriage was the foundation of the family they built together.
A hardworking and respected arborist, Steve was the proud owner of Torpy Tree Service. He loved his work, took pride in caring for trees, and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to helping others.
Steve was a proud father to his children Kara and Justin. He was also the best Papa to Tyler, Lennon, and Liam, who brought him tremendous joy.
Steve will be remembered for his generous heart, his loyalty to family, and the many lives he touched through his kindness and hard work.
Services
Visitation will be held Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM with a vigil at 7:00 PM at Heafey Hoffmann Mortuary.
Funeral Mass will be held Monday at 10:30 AM at Christ the King Catholic Church, with a luncheon to follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are preferred to his grandchildren's education fund, as Steve always believed in supporting his grandchildren's future. Donations may be made through Venmo at @KaraTorpy.

Steve Torpy, a kind, generous, strong, loving family man. To me he was a man of few words but when he spoke to me I listened, and I learned from what he had to say. I had alot of respect for Steve. Well you kinda had to. Lol. I remember working with him n J back in the early 2000's plowing snow at the apartments off Maple street. Man that was alot of fun. Going and having breakfast at Village Inn with the Denali crew. Dude Im gonna miss ol Steve. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family. Sue. Kara. Justin. Sue and the Torpy family ... We were so saddened to hear about Steve's passing. We have many memories from our time in Omaha at Rugby matches, trips and other shenanigans. Steve was a salt of the earth man with a beautiful family and wonderful friends. May your memories be a blessing.
