Survived by children, Brian (Heidi) Harter, Omaha, and Jessica Harter and Andrew Harter, both Council Bluffs; grandchildren, Payton, Rylee, and Maxim Harter; sister, Joni (Terry) Elliff and children, Scott, Shawn, Whitney and Brett Elliff, Council Bluffs; and brother, Chris (Sue) Harter and children, Joe and John Harter, Crescent, IA.

My sympathy and condolences to Steve's loved ones. From Kindergarten on, I've known him to be a good man with a great sense of humor. I am positive he is now completely without pain. I can only hope he was able to take that knowing, sly grin to Heaven.
