Steven Holmes

Steven E. Holmes, 43, passed away on November 30, 2025, in Colorado Springs, CO.

Born on April 26, 1982, Steven graduated from Bellevue East High School with the class of 2000. His life was filled with music, laughter, and a deep devotion to those he loved. A talented guitarist, Steven played in several bands over the years, immersing himself in every genre and passionately learning everything he could about the artists he admired.

Steven was a dedicated sports fan, especially of the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals. Whether during tough seasons or championship runs, he proudly wore his Chiefs gear on game days and rarely missed a game. He also enjoyed playing sports and working with his hands-building and fixing cars, scooters, motorcycles, golf carts, and furniture alongside his dad and brother.

Above all else, Steven cherished being a father to his son, Brandon Holmes. Becoming a dad was the greatest joy of his life. He poured his heart into fatherhood and ensured Brandon always felt surrounded by love-from family to close friends. Steven also deeply valued his role as an uncle and made every effort to spend time with his nieces and nephews.

He is lovingly remembered by his mother Kathleen Holmes; father Craig Holmes; brothers Eric Holmes, Jason Holmes, and Patrick Holmes (Courtney); sister Frances Holmes; son Brandon Holmes; and five nieces and nephews: Kay-Lynn Holmes (Jacob Denny), Kathleen Mae Holmes, Vincent Holmes, Ava Holmes, and Anton Holmes. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

A celebration of Steven's life will be held in January in both Colorado Springs and Omaha. Details will be shared once finalized.

Steven's lighthearted spirit, endless sarcasm, and warm smile brought joy to everyone around him. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
