Wow! 9 years. There is hardly one day that goes by when you cross my mind, whether it’s a show we did together or the multitude of times you were such a gracious host at your apartment downtown. I miss you dearly and I look forward to seeing you on the other side. Peace brother!! Rest easy.

It's been 7 years since you left this earth and I hope you are at peace and no longer suffering. I just wanted to let you know that I graduated highschool and in college now. Can't wait to see you in the afterlife Uncle Steve I love you so much.

It has been three weeks today. I just can't believe that you are really gone. I just keep telling myself how much pain and suffering you had to endure while you were here. You are definitely in a better place. Your life on earth may have been short, but you did good with what time you had. I'll see you one day in heaven. I love you little brother!

Steve, we've had so many great times together, and quite a few deep heart-to-hearts. I'm so sorry we didn't reconnect in time. I tried to send you a message last week, but was too late and will always regret that I wasn't there for you in your final struggle. You will always hold a special place in my heart and I will always love and miss you. You were one of the strongest people I have ever met and I will always hold dear the lessons you've taught me. I'm glad we got to cross paths and I will never forget you. You will always hold that special place in my heart. Rest in peace, my friend.

Dear Uncle Steve,
It's always hard to think of what to write when there's so much you want to say. When I think of you I think of a superhero. Remember last year when you stayed with us for a few days and you, Joe, and I stayed up watching Iron Man? Then the very next day we saw Iron Man 2 in theaters after school. I still think the first one is the best. :) I'd give anything to be able to see the new Avengers movie with you. You're a lot like Iron Man, but nicer and with better taste in music. :) I remember being at your house one year for a Christmas thing and seeing all your cool band posters. I was way impressed. I wish we could have spent more time together, but I'm so grateful for the times we did have. I love you and miss you. You'll always be my Iron Man.

Steve was a true friend, someone who always thought of others in spite of how he felt. We shared the same hobby, in fact he said it was me who inspired him to record live music. That is something I feel is an honor. God bless you my brother.

I will repeat what I said on Friday. "I realize that this may be a cliche, but for someone who has suffered as much as Steve did for so long with such dignity and such a positive attitude , he truly is in a much better place now". We all wish he was still with us but his light and memory will last forever!! God bless you Steve!!
