Age 60. Omaha. Preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ruth Strong; and sister, Marianne Strong. Steven is survived by his wife of 34 years, Mary Jo Strong; brothers; sisters; nieces; and nephews.
GRAVESIDE SERVICE 11am Thursday, April 26, 2012, at Voss Mohr Cemetery, 134th and Harrison St. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Steven's name may be directed to the Nebraska Humane Society. Visit www.bramanmortuary.com to leave a condolence

I was so sorry to hear about Steve. He was always one of my favorite uncles. He always treated me and my family with kindness and always made us feel special. I remember as a kid, he would let me look at his albums and play them on his record player. I thought he was so cool. I remember one family reunion when he and other cousins had a band and played "Red Rubber Ball." Whenever I was in town he would make time to see me. He was a very thoughtful person. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
