Tiffany Romero Obituary

ROMERO-Tiffany N. Floth. Tiffany passed away on August 5, 2006, after a life filled with love, courage and determination. Even at birth she was special and a fighter. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on April 2, 1970 and grew up in the Omaha, NE area. In Nebraska, Tiffany was a confirmed member of Morning Star Lutheran Church. She attended Sandoz Elementary, Central Junior High, and Millard South High School. In high school, she excelled in the classroom. She was on the debate team, the tennis team all four years, and the golf and basketball teams. She was chosen as an Omaha Symphony Debutante and was a member of the Junior League of Omaha. She attended the University of Kansas and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She was graduated from the University of Nebraska Law School and practiced law in Omaha for five years as a Plaintiffs' Attorney. In 2000, she moved to Phoenix, passed the Arizona Bar exam and started her own successful law practice, specializing in Estate Planning. Tiffany was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer on December, 27, 2001. On March 23, 2002, Tiffany and Ronald Romero were married and that was the happiest day of her life! Tiffany fought her cancer with the same determined spirit that defined her life--with courage, grace and love. Tiffany's memory will live on and she will be deeply missed by family and friends. She is survived by husband, Ronald C. Romero; parents Rowin and Paula Floth; her brother, Ryan K. Floth; her maternal grandfather Gilbert Ide; her paternal grandmother, Winifred C. Floth; and by her beloved dog, Hobbs.
A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Tiffany will be held at Risen Savior Lutheran Church, 23914 S. Alma School Road, Chandler on Thursday, August 10, 2006, at 11:00 AM. TO Ronald & Tiffany's Family, I met your beautiful wife at the hospital and connected with her because it always seemed like I was the youngest woman in the room! I'm sorry to say, she was younger. I just found out today of your loss and a loss to this world. She always greeted me with a smile even though I knew she wasn't feeling well. I just kept hoping against hope that something would come along to make her stronger and feel better. I'm so sorry I didn't get a chance to know her better, she seemed like such a beautiful person. I'll send prays to you, her family & to her new journey away from us.

Dear Paula, Rowin, Ryan and Tiffany's husband, I wanted to extend my deepest sympathies to all of you. She became a beautiful young women and wife but I remember her as fun cute little girl at Oak Hills. I cannot imagine the sadest you must be experiencing but hopefully knowing that so many care and are thinking of you is of help. Claudia sends her sympathies as well. She is a Dallas wife, mom and career women. She remembers lots of fun times with Tiffany when they were young. I will put you into my basket of prayers going forward. Most sincerely, Diane Ames

To the family:

My thoughts and prayers are with you during your time of need. I, like many others here in AZ have been beaten by Tiffany many times on the court. Just recently I got to know her off the court (in the gym!) She was such a determined person, she forced you to believe in yourself. I am priviledged to have know her.

I met Tiffany playing in tennis leagues. Tiffany had a wonderful tennis game and more importantly, a lot of character and integrity. I will miss her dearly. I am very Sorry!

To Tif's family,

My heart is heavy with the news of your loss. Tif and I were roommates several times in college at the Theta house and she whooped me in tennis every time we played. I always loved her dry sense of humor and remember laughing till I cried at some of her lines ("I never...ran with scissors"). We pursued similar careers in different locations, but always kept that bond forged by surviving law school and the various Bars we took. I will miss my friend and colleague. I'm glad her suffering is done and pray that yours relents daily. My sincerest condolences.

Dear Paula, Rowin, Ryan and Ronald,

We are so sorry to hear about Tiffany. She was such a doll and a very good person. She and Beth had such fun together, spending the night together at age 3 at your home. In the Fall, jumping in huge piles of leaves in Royalwood. They were both so petite and cute!

We will keep you in our thoughts and prayers,

Ed and Diane Young

Mr. and Mrs. Floth, Ryan and Ron,

My heart aches for you and your family during this time of loss. God works in mysterious ways. Just last week my fiance and I were watching video of the 1988 basketball season at Millard South. What great laughs and smiles it brought to my face. Tiffany was a great friend starting at Sandoz. May God Bless you and be with you during this time.

Dear Mr & Mrs Floth,

I don't know if you remember me or not, but I had the privledge of Tiffany's friendship at Millard South. She also did did the honor of being my date to my senior prom.

When I first found out about her passing, I was shocked and couldn't believe that someone as young as Tiffany could be gone so soon.

As I sit here typing these words, I am flooded by memories of how lucky I was to have Tiffany as a friend.

You, Ryan, the rest of your family and her husband will be in our thoughts and prayers.

In deepest sympathy,

Colin Dingle

Goodbye dear Tif - I will miss you. I treasure the fun we had at KU, especially playing "Nertz" for hours and hours at the Theta house. You were so quick at that game! The competition was fierce but full of fun and laughter. Be at peace now.

Mr. and Mrs. Floth,

I was deeply sadddened to hear news from my parents. I hope you remember me from Millard South. Tif and I managed to survive physics class as lab partners. Tif, Val(Weiser-Packel), and I had so much fun playing basketball and hanging out together. Val and I are 1 year older and we both went to KU, too. My husband, Brian Potts, even had a class with her at KU. He was so impressed with her, just like all of those who knew her. Val and I have great memories spending time with you as well. Mr. Floth, you always made us laugh. I extend to you, Ryan, and her husband my deepest sympathies. May her spirit and memories be a source of comfort to you during this difficult time.

God Bless,

Ann Neid Potts

I met Tiffany playing tennis here in Arizona and we became friends off the court. Tiffany was always a pleasure to be around. Tiffany was so fortunate to have such wonderful loving parents, brother and husband. We were all better people for having Tiffany in our lives. The courts in heaven will be perfect now!

Tif was able to combine a no-nonsense style and sense of humor with a heart as soft as a pudding. She was a huge part of why college life was so much fun at KU and we all love her a lot. Deepest sympathies for your loss.

It has been a long time since I have seen Tiffany, actually, probably our last day at the Theta house back in 1992. I have kept up with her life through other people and it sounds like she had accomplished so much. Tiffany was always a warm, funny and friendly person...and we are all better having known her. Please accept my deepest sympathy to her family in this time of loss. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely, Jamee Fritzemeier Ross

I'm so sorry to hear about Tiffany. I've competed against Tiffany in women's doubles for the last several years and was amazed how up-beat she remained through her battle. She was an amazing competitor on the court. She will be missed!

I want to extend my most sincere sympathy to all of Tiffany's family. Distance is a strange culprit when taking away face to face time with friends but you never forget things like her smile & look of determination across the net. After the game, Tiff was so hard on herself but had played awesome & won! It was great to see her 2 years ago at Nationals, it was like no time had passed and she was there right in the midst of the heat of the battle, supporting her fellow die hard tennis friends. She cracked me up with her BIG smile when she whipped off her hat and asked me if I brought my scissors to help her out with her hairstyle! I feel I have been blessed to have known her.
