Preceded in death by parents, Rudy and Rose Boysen; sister Mary Boysen-Rieger; infant daughter Cynthia Ann. Survived by husband Ronald; sons, Ronald Kaspar, Jr. and wife Erin, John Kaspar and wife Elizabeth, James Kaspar; sisters, Miriam Pratt, Paula Lindberg and husband Michael; many other relatives and friends.
VISITATION Monday, January 10, 12noon-8pm, with Vigil Service at 7pm, all at Braman Mortuary (Southwest Chapel). FUNERAL MASS Tuesday 10:30am at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church (153 & Pacific). Interment, Graceland Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Northwest Bank, 14320 Arbor St. Omaha, NE 68144. The memorials will be used in Vicki's memory at a later date. Dear Ron and Family,
I just learned of Vicki's death and want to extend my sympathy. Vicki and I developed a friendship at UNO as Alpha Xi Delta sorority sisters. We lost contact in the 80's as I moved to Michigan and both our family demands increased. I had always hoped to reconnect and know I will when I reach that place where Vicki now resides.
I remember when Vicki met you, Ron, and your subsequent marriage. She was so very happy to be in relationship with you! That happiness radiated in all her interactions!

When Vicki first came to MSHS,I was working in the special education department. Not only did I work with her, but she also taught my youngest son English. My deepest sympathy to you in the loss of your wife, mother and grandmother.

To the Kaspar families, Kaspar was a wonderful woman, always forgiving. She actually helped me also in my classes. I am sending prayers and thoughts to the Kaspar family. Very loving woman, I loved her for being there. Vicki had called my Grandma after my uncle Kason had died. She had him when he was in school. I never had the opportunity to meet Dr. Kaspar, but knew of her because I have a daughter with Cornelia de Lange Syndrome as well. I always consider my fellow moms extended family. Please know that her extended CdLS family is praying for the Kaspar family. God Bless.

I will always remember Vicki's warm smile and welcoming attitude when I served as a substitute teacher for her at Millard South. She represented everything that embodies a quality educator. Two of my nephews currently attend Millard South High School.You have my deepest condolences on the loss of your daughter,spouse,mother and friend.I was so very saddened and shocked of this senseless tragedy that my few words of comfort seem inadequate.By simply looking at her picture one can see her gentleness,kindness and devotion to her students. I didn't have the honor to know Dr. Kaspar. (My children all graduated from OPS).
Sincere sympathy to the Kaspar and Boysen families and everyone affected by this sad, tragic day. Thank you Mrs. Kaspar and all current and former teachers and administrators that have guided our youth through good times and bad. I am the mother of three Millard South High School graduates. Two of my children had Mrs. Kaspar as their tenth grade English teacher. She touched their lives with her warm and comforting teaching methods that helped them be better students. She made an especially lasting impression upon my daughter who is also in education. I had brief interactions with Vicki during my oldest son's senior year two years ago. She was a fantastic leader at MS & very well respected. She was a great example for our youth. Miriam, Paula, Ron and family, I was in the class of '66 with Miriam. Later, I had the pleasure of working with Vicky on a committee, when I was in the Millard Public Schools. She was such a gifted educator, as well as a kind, compassionate woman. Vicky embodied all the qualities in the Notre Dame Academy school song.
May God bless all of you and give you strength during this time. She was truly a woman who made a difference in the lives of students.

My son was touched by this tragedy at Millard South. He went to his principal and vice principal to talk about what had happened in Omaha. He thanked them for their service. They thanked him for his thoughtfulness, and told him that it is students like him that makes them love what they do! God bless all the "Mrs. Kaspers" that make such a positive difference in our children's lives!

Dear Members of the Kaspar and Boysen Families,
My prayers reach out to you constantly in these days of sorrow and pain. I have read many tributes to Vicki as a great mom, friend, and teacher. I give tribute to her as a great student whom I taught at Notre Dame Academy. She and her class of '70 were among my favorites. I remember Vicki for her dedication to tasks, her determination, and that gentle smile that warmed everyone. I am not surprised that she was a great teacher because she was a great student. I'm millard south alumni class of 94. Dr. Kasper was my english teacher. Although I haven't seen her since I graduated my memory of her as a wonderful hands on teacher remain. I knew Dr.Kaspar when i was little she was my brothers principal so i would see her evry parent teacher confrences also when ever my brother got in trouble but she was really sweet and i was looking foward to seeing her but now that the inncident happen i have been sad every since but i am very sorry and my hopes and prayers are with you and i am sorry i can't make it to the funeral i have school and parents have to work but i am so sorry.

I am not a member of the Millard South Community, but have lived in Omaha all my life. I have heard such wonderful things about Dr. Kaspar these last few days. It sounds like she loved her job and loved the students she worked with. I hope her family finds peace knowing the paths of so many students were changed for the better because of her. Rest in Peace.

I'm a teacher in the Omaha area. I would just like to say thank you for lending your wife, mother, sister to the Omaha area. She gave her life literally to do the job she was put here on earth to do. As difficult as this tragedy is to understand take comfort in the fact that your Vicki is at rest in our Lords heavenly kingdom. Also take comfort in all the love so many had for her. I am a student at Millard South High and Dr. Kasper was always the one principal that i would go to and just have a nice conversation with she always kept things 100 and never tried to sugar coat anything when you would ask for her advice and i loved that about her. She will always be in my heart and i pray for her family.

We extend our deepest sympathies to the entire Kaspar family. I graduated from Millard in 78(South now) and all three of our boys are Patriots: Ben 05, Kyle 09, and Blake is currently a Freshman. We know how deeply commited Vicki was to Millard South; it seemed like she supported every event there! We appreciated her counsel on AP classes, and Ron, as Kyle's chemistry teacher, you had an impact on his medicine career choice. We certainly hope you return to Millard South when you are ready. She will truly be missed. Even though life, as you know it, will never be the same, we know you will cling to the promise of a blessed reunion with her one day!
