Virginia Sue Ulanowski, age 78, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on March 17, 1947, in Childress, Texas, Virginia was the cherished daughter of Kenneth Threet and Pauline Threet (later McQueeny).

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Pauline McQueeny; father, Kenneth Threet; grandmother, Lilian Bradshaw; sister-in-law, Judy Threet; nephew, Nicholas Ulanowski; and many treasured pets who brought her great joy through the years.

Virginia is survived by her husband, Tom Ulanowski; daughter, Teresa Singleton; her siblings, Jimmy Threet, Eddie McQueeny, and Judy Craven; her sisters-in-law, Cindy McQueeny Barb Ulanowski, Chris Ulanowski and Mary Overman; and her brothers-in-law, Rafael Craven, Mike Ulanowski, Jack Ulanowski and Craig Overman; many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who were blessed by her generosity and quick wit.

Virginia's life was a testament to kindness, strength, and unwavering love.

A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, 11 a.m., at Lifegate Church Papillion, 749 Pinnacle Drive, Papillion, NE 68046. A luncheon will follow the service at Southwest Gables Clubhouse, 8909 Q Street, Omaha, NE 68127.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Virginia's honor to the Humane Society or the American Diabetes Association - two causes close to her heart.

Virginia Sue Ulanowski will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, proud sister, and compassionate friend. Her light, her laughter, and her love will live on in all who knew her.
