Anthony M. LaGreca

FAYETTEVILLE >> Anthony Michael LaGreca, age 71, of Fayetteville, N.Y., formerly of Johnstown, N.Y., passed away on Friday, Dec. 13, 2013 at the Oneida Healthcare Extended Care Facility, Oneida, N.Y. with his beloved family by his side.
He was born on Nov. 1, 1942 in Amsterdam, N.Y., the son of Joseph LaGreca and Margaret Skalla LaGreca of Johnstown, both who survive.
Anthony was a graduate of Johnstown High School, received his associate's degree at Mohawk Valley Community College and his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering at the Rochester Institute of Technology in 1974. He worked many years in electrical engineering and the Computer Science Industries until retiring. Mr. LaGreca was of the Catholic faith. His interests included spending time with his family, furniture making, sci-fi books and films.
Survivors include his parents; his son Scott LaGreca and his husband Keith Babuszczak of Ithaca, N.Y.; his daughter Dawn (LaGreca) Heffron and her husband Gary of Oneida; four grandchildren Christopher, Shawnna, Brandon and Breonna; one great-granddaughter Lilly, all from Oneida; several cousins and his beloved cat, Bill.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at the Barter & Donnan Funeral Home, 1. N. Melcher St., Johnstown.
Visitation for friends and family will be on Tuesday prior to the funeral service from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be in Fern Dale Cemetery, Johnstown at a later date.
