Bryan Vincent Mellon

1981 - 2023

8/6/81-8/23/23Bryan passed on to the unknown while sleeping peacefully at home in the arms of his wife after living it up for eight and a half years with brain cancer.Bryan was a good man. He enjoyed his life. He loved cats, tolerated dogs and really appreciated a good craft beer. Bryan spent the time since his diagnosis having as much fun as anyone could possibly hope for.He shared the love of the band Phish with his Brother and the love of California with his sister. He looked forward to making Christmas cookies with his mother every year, especially the lemon ones. He traveled to Peru with his father and spent all his free time having adventures with his wife in pursuit of visiting everywhere he had ever hoped to go, and then some.Bryan fostered pregnant cats and their subsequent kittens for Wanderer's Rest and hosted exchange students for Rotary International. Bryan was a math teacher at Otto Shortell Middle School and his fondest memories were the seasons he coached cross country and track.Bryan had a strong love of family and held his friends close to his heart. He leaves behind several loving Aunts, Uncles and Cousins, his parents Vince and Linda Mellon of Oneida, NY, Brother's family: Jeff, Steph, Annabelle and Violet Mellon of Penfield, NY, Sister's family; Danielle, Raghu and Geo Panda of Thousand Oaks, CA, in-laws Karen and Earl Turner of Liverpool/Oneida, NY, Bryan's wife Christine (Turner) Mellon of Liverpool/Oneida, NY, her goddaughter Stella Naster of Camillus, NY and their cats and dog Maybe, Pawsibly, Purrrhapse (DD), Chloe and Sunny Dew Mellon.In lieu of flowers Bryan would like you to not be sad in his passing.
