David Jamieson Obituary

PERRYVILLE >> David A. Jamieson, 63, Ingalls Corners Road, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday evening, May 6, 2014, in Syracuse.
Born in Syracuse on Aug. 21, 1950, he was a son of the late Frank and Virginia Babson Jamieson. A resident of the area since 1987, moving from Peterboro, he was a graduate of Fayetteville-Manlius High School and received his associate degree from Morrisville College. Dave married Susan Hart in Perryville on Feb. 1, 1974.
He was the owner and operator of Jamieson's Welding, Chittenango, founded in 1990. He had previously been employed with Industrial Fabricating, Solvay Iron Works and Technical Erectors, all located in the Syracuse area. Mr. Jamieson was a member of the Smithfield Volunteer Fire Department. He built and raced stock cars at Utica-Rome Speedway and enjoyed fishing. He also enjoyed meeting friends for breakfast and lunch.
Dave loved life. He cherished his time with his children and took particular pleasure in being with his grandchildren. He also had a great fondness for his father-in-law and mother-in-law. Surpassing all except his love for God, was his love for his wife.
Surviving are his wife, Susan; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Thomas Boylan of Oneida and Jill and Dennis Fallon of Canastota; one son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Melissa Jamieson of Richmond, Va.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Jo Ann and Robert Klinetop, of Phoenix and Sheila and Nick Miceli of St. James; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Gladys Jamieson of Honesdale, Pa. and Scott and Betsey Noble of Charlottesville, Va.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Eugene and Elizabeth Hart of Perryville; 12 grandchildren, Austin, Liam, Caiden, Scott, Joseph, Elizabeth, Stephen, Seth, Catherine, Adam, Lucas and Jacob; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his stepfather, Gordon Noble, one sister, Sharon Ausman and one brother, Bruce Jamieson.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday from the Evangel Community Church, 500 McDonnell St., Chittenango with the Rev. Larry Chamberlin officiating. Interment will be made in Oakwood Cemetery. All are welcome to attend a celebration of life at the North Chittenango Fire Barn on Fyler Road at 5 p.m. Wednesday. Friends may call at the church 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Tuesday. Contributions may be made to the family fund. Arrangements are under the direction of the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 300 S.
