David L. Patchin Sr.

LISBON >> David L. Patchin Sr., 72, of Lisbon passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 23 after a long illness.
David is survived by his wife, Beverly (Hall, Murray) Patchin and four children: David L. Patchin Jr. of Oneida, Jeffrey Patchin of Auburn, Brian Murray (and Sharon) of Lisbon, and Bernice Murray of Jericho, Vt.
He is also survived by a sister, Kathleen Woolson of Dexter, seven grandchildren, one great-grandson, one niece and two nephews.
David was a nondenominational minister and previously did occasional services at the Waddington Presbyterian Church. He was a passionate guitar player as well as a golfer.
Other hobbies were woodworking, artist, hunting and fishing. He served in the US Army for 17 years and as a software instructor at General Electric in Syracuse as well as having his own woodworking business in his retirement.
David was a member of the Waddington American Legion and a prior member of the Moose Lodge in Oneida, N.Y.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Waddington. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015 in the North Scriba Cemetery, Lycoming, N.Y.
