Delores B. "Jill" Buran, 80, of Hamilton, NY passed away on October 12, 2022 at Canterbury Place in Pittsburgh, PA. Jill was born on February 22, 1942 in Endicott, NY to the late Guy M. and Ruth A. Struppler Baldwin. She was a graduate of Union Endicott High School. On August 25, 1962, Jill married her high school sweetheart David Runyon Buran in Endicott. He predeceased her on May 24, 2022.Jill and Dave started their independent school careers at Shady Side Academy in Pittsburgh, where Jill worked as the Headmaster's Administrative Assistant. They later transitioned out of independent schools and moved to Boston, where Jill was an administrative assistant for Massachusetts General Hospital. Jill then worked as an administrative assistant for Albany Medical Center until her retirement. She and Dave retired to Hamilton, where she was an active member of the community. They were both avid Colgate fans and attended as many games as possible. Jill worked at the library and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Jill is survived by her children: David "Bo" Buran and his wife Bramble, Natalie Buran Granger and her husband Randy, and Sally Buran Dickinson and her husband Bob. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Bailey Buran, Kasey Buran Fron and her husband Chris, David Buran II, Sydney Buran, Katherine Schwartz and her husband Brian, Sarah Granger and her husband Giovanni Allen, Emily Granger, Patrick Dickinson, Grace Dickinson, Robert Dickinson, and Anne Dickinson, as well as her great-grandchildren: Joseph, Anthony, Reagan and Noah.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary's Church on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Hamilton.
