Michael Muessig Obituary
He was born on July 24, 1999 in Bethlehem, Pa., a son of David B. and Dana M. (Lamonde) Muessig and attended Madison Central School.
Michael enjoyed kick ball, playing with his siblings and was a master of video games. He was an inspiration to any one he came in contact with; young and old.
Surviving are his mother, Dana Muessig; his two brothers, Damien and Ethan Muessig and one sister, Alyssa Muessig all of Madison; his paternal grandfather, Richard Muessig also of Madison; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday from 2-5:30 p.m. at the Vernon United Methodist Church, 5230 W. Seneca St., Vernon, NY. Michael's funeral service will be held at 5:30 p.m. at the church immediately following calling hours with the Rev. Frank Loan officiating. Burial will be private. Arrangements are with the Malecki Funeral Home, Vernon, NY.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends right now. I unfortunatly never had the opportunity to meet Michael, but through my family who live in Madison, they shared with me his heroic story. He has touched the lives of many. He is a true inspiration to all. I am certain that his love will shine from Heaven over all those who cared for him.

In just the short time that I spent talking with Michael, I saw a bright, courageous young man. A young man who was never afraid of dreaming or aspiring to achieve those dreams. He showed such a genuine love for life and those around him. Words cannot describe the sadness that his family is feeling. Although not here with them physically, Michael will always be there looking down on them. I consider it an honor to have met Michael, even if it was just one time and only for an hour. I didn't know Michael or his family but I am a Mom. I'm sure he was loved deeply and you all will miss him forever. God Bless his special spirit and all of his loved ones.
