Nancy Fratini Obituary

CANASTOTA - Nancy C. Fratini, 80, Delano Avenue, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, in Oneida Healthcare Center where she had been a patient for the past two days.
Born in Canastota on June 13, 1932, she was a daughter of James and Alferda Gerber Caldwell. A lifelong resident of Canastota, she graduated from Canastota Central School, Class of 1950. She married Eugene P. Fratini in St. Agatha's Church on July 11, 1953. Mr. Fratini died on May 30, 1991.
Prior to her retirement in 1991, Nancy was employed with Canastota Central Schools as school treasurer for 20 years. She was very active in her children's lives when they were younger and they considered her to be a "sports mom." In her school days she played sports and was a very involved athlete. Nancy loved art and was a very gifted artist. She was of the Protestant faith.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Linda Jean and Albert Heeney of Liverpool; one son and daughter-in-law, Eugene D. "Chip" and Beatrice Fratini of Canastota; three grandchildren, Natalie Fratini, Emily Hibbard, Jennie Fratini; two sisters, Mary Moyer of Oneida and Teddy Meyer of Mechanicsville; three brothers, Bill Caldwell of Indiantown, Fla., Jim Caldwell of Canastota and Raymond Caldwell of Pulaski; three sisters-in-law, Madeline Paul, Virginia Lancor and Mary Tornatore; two brothers-in-law, Richard Fratini and Robert Fratini and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday from the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 300 S. Peterboro St., Canastota, with the Rev. James Harriff, officiating. Interment will be made in St. Agatha's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. Contributions, in her memory, may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 7, 6725 Lyons St., E. Syracuse, N.Y. 13057 or the Arthritis Foundation, 3300 Monroe Ave., Suite 319, Rochester, N.Y. 14618. Envelopes may be obtained at the funeral home.
