Richard Wayne (“Dick”) Lamb, 92, of Hamilton, New York, died at Crouse Community Center in Morrisville, New York, on January 4, 2021.Dick was born in Hamilton, New York, on Christmas Day, 1928, to Hazel (Duell) and Llewellyn Lamb. Over the years, he worked with his father and brothers with their farm business, with his brother, Keith, with their Lamb Feed Store, owned and operated a Sears Catalog franchise, and served for ten years as Town of Madison Supervisor.On October 11, 1952, Dick married the love of his life, Patricia (“Pat”) Weimer of Morrisville, New York, who predeceased him in 2017. They spent 65 years together as a compelling example of true love and devotion.Dick is survived by brother Keith Lamb (Norma) of Eaton, New York, and sister Beatrice (“Beatie”) Little of Bouckville, New York, and was predeceased by sister Phyllis Lamb Hanson and brothers Gene, Darwin, Alan (“Tom”), Louis (“Lou”) and Llewellyn Jr. (“Junie”). Dick is also survived by his three children, Richard Lamb, Jr. (Pat) of East Syracuse; Sue Myers (Ron) of Jacksonville, Florida, and Hamilton; and Andy Lamb (Althea) of Mendon, Vermont; grandchildren Cory Lamb (Rosaanna) of Grove City, Ohio; Craig Lamb (Kelly) of Rochester, New York; Richard Lamb III of East Syracuse, New York; Zachary Lamb and Justin Lamb, both of Sacramento, California; seven great-grandchildren, and scores of nieces, nephews and cousins.Dick’s family express their gratitude to the staff of the Crouse Community Center for having provided him with devoted care and, for the past 2 years, a sense of surrogate family.Because of pandemic restrictions, no services are currently planned.
