Richard Rogers Obituary

Oneida- Richard D. Rogers, passed away on Monday May 1, 2023 in the Emergency Room at St. Luke's Hospital. He was born on February 27, 1942 in Utica, NY to Donald H. and Alice (Beyer) Rogers. He graduated from Utica Free Academy and Mohawk Valley Community College. He then went on to work for forty-one years at Oneida Limited Silversmiths as a CAD Engineer. He married the love of his life, Mary Ann Laramie on January 25, 1964 at Sacred Heart Church in Utica and the couple had a blessed union of over fifty-nine years together. Anyone who knew Dick, knew that he was he was happiest at his camp of over seventy-five years on Lily Pond at Brantingham Lake. You could always find him in his favorite rocking chair on the front porch after a long day of projects. He took great satisfaction knowing that he left a beautiful legacy for his family. Dick leaves his heartbroken family to mourn; his wife, Mary Ann of Oneida, daughter and son-in-law, Chris and Bob Breckenridge of Verona, son and daughter-in-law, Don and Danielle Rogers of Oneida, daughter and son-in-law, Colleen and Scott Pominville of Lyons Falls, grandchildren, Robert (Clara) Breckenridge and Ryan Breckenridge of Verona, Brianna, Dylan and Emma Ariglio of Oneida and Aidan Pominville of Lyons Falls. Dick's family would like to thank the nurses and staff at MVHS Dialysis Center of Oneida for their love and compassion that helped keep Dick going for as long as he did.Per Dick's wishes, there will be no public calling hours. Services will be private for the family. In memory of Dick, do a kind deed, plant a tree or just do the right thing. Arrangements are with the Malecki Funeral Home of Sherrill.
