Betty was a dear friend - she will be missed. Our friendship began in 1959 when I moved to Athens to work with J.B. Betty invited me over for breakfast many mornings (I was single at that time). Our friendship continued over the years and we still maintain contact with J.B.. Betty was a close friend to Miriam - they shared many enjoyable times together. We extend our love and sympathy to her loving husband, J.B., family

I was coaching my 7th grade football team today and I was talking to them about having a great school year when they start school on Monday. I told them it was a great time in my life and I had my 7th grade teachers to thank for those memories. Mrs. Weaver was one of those great memories. Sending prayers to her family and loved ones.

She was not only my teacher, but she was also my older brother and sisters teacher. She taught three Whitehead children three years in a row - she deserved a medal! What a wonderful lady and teacher. She touched every students life in some way that she taught. She was always so proud of her family. I was glad she touched my life as well.

I think everyone I know was in her math class at one time or another. Whenever friends gather and talk turns to our middle school years, being in Mrs. Weaver's class is always one our favorite shared memories. She touched many lives and will be missed.
